For patients that are unhappy with the appearance of their neck, but are not in need of a full face lift, Dr. Anoush Hadeagh offers a neck lift. The neck lift procedure creates a rejuvenated, smooth contour of the neck by lifting the jowls, removing unwanted fat, and tightening the loose bands in the neck that create sagging of the skin. The goal of the neck lift procedure is to provide a refreshed, more youthful, but natural look.
Dr. Hadaegh is a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in facial rejuvenation. He always listens to you, discusses your goals and any concerns, and presents all of your treatment options. Dr. Hadaegh creates a customized treatment plan for each and every patient so that the maximum rejuvenation potential can be achieved.
Some patients choose to have other procedures in combination with their neck lift. Liposuction, face lift, brow lift, and eyelid lift are all options that, when combined with a neck lift, provide for a more comprehensive makeover and take full advantage of the recovery period.

Ideal Candidate for Neck Lift Procedure
In the pursuit of neck rejuvenation through surgical interventions like a neck lift, an ideal candidate embodies specific attributes ensuring optimal outcomes:
- Visible Signs of Aging: Candidates exhibiting visible signs of aging in the neck area, such as sagging skin, wrinkles, and the emergence of jowls, are prime candidates for a neck lift. This procedure effectively targets these concerns to restore a more youthful neck contour.
- Overall Health and Wellness: The ideal candidate boasts good overall health, crucial for successful surgery and smooth recovery. A healthy status minimizes the risk of complications, contributing to a positive postoperative experience.
- Realistic Expectations: Ideal candidates approach the procedure with realistic expectations, understanding the enhancements a neck lift can provide in neck contour and the reduction of visible aging signs. This clarity fosters effective communication between the candidate and the surgical team.
- Non-Smoker Status: As smoking can impede the healing process and jeopardize results, ideal candidates are either non-smokers or committed to abstaining from smoking for the recommended duration before and after the neck tightening procedure.
- Stable Weight: Candidates with a stable body weight are better positioned for the longevity of results. Fluctuations in weight can impact the effectiveness of neck plastic surgery, making weight stability a key consideration.
- Commitment to Aftercare: Ideal candidates are committed to diligently following the surgeon’s aftercare instructions. This commitment significantly contributes to optimal healing and sustained results.
Consultation for Neck Lift
During the consultation, a proactive and informative approach will guide the candidate through the decision-making process:
- Thorough Medical Assessment: A comprehensive review of the candidate’s medical history ensures a clear understanding of any potential contraindications or health considerations related to the neck lift procedure.
- Open Discussion of Expectations: Engaging in open dialogue, the surgeon and candidate discuss the specific expectations and goals the candidate has for the neck lift. This transparent communication sets the stage for a tailored and effective surgical plan.
- In-Depth Explanation of Risks and Benefits: The surgeon provides a detailed overview of the potential risks and benefits of neck plastic surgery, emphasizing the importance of informed consent and empowering the candidate to make educated decisions.
- Customized Treatment Plan: A personalized treatment plan is formulated based on the candidate’s unique anatomy and goals. This plan outlines the specific techniques, such as neck tightening, to achieve the desired outcome.
- Guidance on Postoperative Care: Clear and concise guidance on postoperative care ensures the candidate understands the crucial role they play in their own recovery. This includes instructions on wound care, activity restrictions, and follow-up appointments.
